Hello dear friends, family & clients!​

You know what I'm going to say....his year has been crazy, which is an understatement! I've been in touch with many of you, since the majority of my clients were booked to travel this year and we've been going back and forth dealing with cancellations, refunds and credits. For those of you I have not been in touch with, I sincerely apologize. Managing cancellations this year has not been fun. It's like building a house and when it's almost complete and you're about to move in, you have to tear it down slowly, brick by brick, down to the foundation. And then you try and get refunds for all the materials. Not to mention accounting. Sigh. 

But, I'm hanging in there and do have good news! Besides cancelling trips and getting people home who were traveling in March, I also took a bit of time off. Projects around the house, hanging out with my cats, binging some tv, reading books, and I am not ashamed to admit, some 'day drinking'! I'm back on my health kick now and starting to do some more hiking here in Colorado!

In the last few months, I've been focusing on getting my business ready for when travel returns. I've been updating my accounting systems, terms & conditions, doing a lot of training, brushing up on accreditations, and attending virtual travel conferences. It's actually been really fun and there is a lot to look forward to! There is so much pent up demand for travel that we are planning for it to come back with a vengeance! Really hoping soon we will have a vaccine, effective treatment and widespread testing. There seems to be some promising news!

The bottom line is that I am here for you, I haven't gone anywhere. Most of my clients have rebooked for next year so I have a solid base already for next year. Maybe it's not the best time to go on a trip right now, but it is certainly a great time to plan. We are seeing really high sales for cruises for next year. I have found many small ship and river cruises already filling up. So if you're itching to plan, please don't wait. I will make sure that your bookings are refundable and/or flexible with deposits if we need to change anything later. Studies show that planning travel creates almost as much joy as going on the trip itself! Let's work on joy now! 

Some new things and what is on the horizon for me:

• I will be focusing on more custom USA/North America travel and wellness vacations
• Consider gems closer to home – National Parks & Train Travel are great options!
• Anticipating International travel will start getting back to normal hopefully in the Spring
• I have updated and more comprehensive Travel Protection Insurance policies. These policies are only sold by professional travel advisors so please contact me even if you're planning a trip on your own, or doing something domestic. You MUST have a good insurance policy going forward
• Also, even a simple trip I really must recommend that you book with a travel advisor, whether it's me or not. Managing changes with the travel companies and airlines was such a nightmare this year. You need help, trust me
